| Summer 2009 Ok, so maybe my Xanga goal should be to update once a season! Anyhow, these are my Facebook pix here, for those of you who aren't on FB... yet:) Sherwin testing out his Father's Day/Anniversary gift: a Mantis tiller.
Isaac, after helping with yard work.
My first batch of cauliflower to go in the freezer. Not bad for my first year of gardening!
We have tons of wild red raspberries all around our house. Organic at it's best!
Sherwin & Dad wanted to take advantage of the Maryland free fishing day. They tried to catch something in the Potomac River. They didn't have any success but Mom, Isaac, & I enjoyed our picnic and walking the tow path.
Playing in the sprinkler.
Christi, Everett, Me, Isaac, Tracy, and Mason playing with our boys at Lititz Spring Park.
Mom helping Isaac on the slide, he absolutely loved it!
Yay, we finally finished our basement. Now time to setup my scrapbook area.
So that's summer in a nutshell. Maybe I'll try to post another entry yet. Until then, God bless!
| Florida 2009! We vacationed in Florida for a week with my family and our time there exceeded my expectations. First of all, I was dreading the flight down. I was afraid Isaac would flip out at take off and scream for the next 2 hours. But he loved it, he had a blast! By the time we got our rental van (which was supposed to be a mini-van but ended up as a 12 passenger van, minus the back bench seat) it was nearing 11 pm Friday night. So Saturday, we took it easy, resting, getting settled in our little rental house, and then going to Lido beach for a cook-out. Isaac loved loved loved the water! The waves and sand were his new favorite toys!
Sunday we spent the day with Uncle Tom and Aunt Bonita and then went to Siesta Key beach in the evening. The weather was so nice and warm, but because it was evening, the beaches were cleared out. Isaac had the best time running in the water and building sand castles. There was no end to all his fun!
Monday we went to Myacca State Park and took an airboat tour on a gator infested lake - niiice! Thankfully, mom and dad watched Everett and Isaac for us so we could fully enjoy the park.
Tuesday we enjoyed breakfast with Uncle Tom & Aunt Bonita. The it was off to the beautiful Jungle Gardens. That was a kid's paradise, especially Isaac, who loves colorful flowers and birds. In his exuberance, he grabbed a flamingo by the neck! The slide was a highlight also, with both Everett and Isaac laughing as they went. That evening, we went back out to Lido beach for one last picnic and fishing. It was a chilly 70 degrees so Isaac was extremely disappointed (read: temper tantrum) that he was barred from the water.
Wednesday we visited the zoo in Tampa. That was really cool, but it was a long day for the boys. Thankfully Isaac was able to grab a nap. It was sooo hot but hey, I wasn't gonna complain!

(Isaac loved the many colorful birds flying around him.)
(Isaac's favorite part of the zoo, the kids' fountains.)
(Mmm, my first ice cream cone! Yum!)
Thursday we left our rental and headed back to Orlando where we enjoyed the Holy Lands Experience. That was also a big day for the boys, but it was such a meaningful experience! The dramas, especially the passion, made quite an impact on us. We collapsed in our hotel that night and headed to our airport at 7am Friday morning.
(Praise God, the tomb is empty!)
(Soon, we may hear the final trumpet sound.)
Our flight was delayed nearly 2 hours because of a wheel problem but by 2 pm we had landed at our little hometown airport. Sigh. I was glad we only live 10 minutes from it! We had a great time vacationing, and felt that we were drawn closer together as a family. So anyhow, until next time, God bless!
| Life continues to (seemingly) revolve around Isaac. He continues to amaze us, as well! Here are some picts of his latest feats... Bear Crawling
To pushing anything with wheels
To walking!
Dad has fun with Isaac, over Thanksgiving.
Mom, in her glory, with Isaac and Everett.
But, with the delight of a baby, there's also the trouble.. Isaac got his first ear infection - not fun.
And with walking, comes the inevitable curiosity!
What a year it's been - Thank you God! You have blessed us, beyond measure!

| Autumn... Isn't is awesome - the colors, the crisp cool air, the happy baby. Isaac loves playing outside, especially trying to eat all the crispy, crunchy leaves - yum!
We just returned from a weekend away in Blackwell Pa at the cabin with my family. (While there, Saturdary, October 25th, Isaac was 7 months!) Biking, hunting, fishing, playing games, campfires, scenic strolls, and more all in one weekend. It was fun, but Isaac slept for about 20 hours after we got home Monday! Here are some of our pictorial highlights:
Biking
Playing with cousin Everett
Enjoying the rail trail right out back.
Ah, but home is always the most welcome sight. God bless!
| 6 Months Today was Isaac's first time at a funeral. Pappy N died of a stroke, unexpectedly on Monday. He was an amazing person in his lifetime. At 84 years old, he was still farming full time. In fact, he had done the morning milking the same day that he passed away. I am so happy to have pictures of Isaac with him, taken less than a month ago at Rhodes Grove Camp Meeting.
Isaac has been on the go, ever since he learned to crawl at five months. Now he is trying to walk along furniture. Time to baby-proof my house!
Also trying to introduce solids - ha, right! We'll keep trying.
A favorite hobby, destroying the newspaper. He loves it.
And, a sad day for my baby Isaac: a haircut! It was starting to get in his eyes, so I just wanted to trim a bit. Well, 5 month-old babies don't hold still, so the final product was much shorter than anticipated! Oh well, he doesn't seem to care that he looks sorta nerdy!
September 25th was 6 month pictures, taken at Picture People.
Okay, this months update is done! Have a blessed month serving Jesus!
